У новом сазиву парламента Србије, захваљујући Закону о избору народних посланика, од 250 чланова парламента биће бар 87 жена. Реформски закон је главни разлог што су странке и коалиције одлучиле да трећина њихових будућих посланика буде женског пола.
Највише нових чланица парламента биће из Београда. На страначким листама доминирају правнице, економисткиње, лекарке, професорке, инжењерке, а међу њима има и доктора наука, научних радница, судија и новинарки. Има и необичних занимања.
За наклоност бирача тако ће се на мајским изборима, поред „проверених“ политичких кадрова коалиције СПС-ПУПС-ЈС, раме уз раме са Славицом Ђукић Дејановић, Дијаном Вукомановић, Миром Петровић борити и двадесетогодишња Наташа Мидић, председница Актива омладине ПУПС у Новом Саду.
Мидићева студира књижевност, али се активно бави организовањем журки у бар четири новосадска клуба. Поред тога промотерка је продаје карата за концерте.
Међу најмлађим кандидаткињама за народне посланице Катарина Тодоровић (19), ученица из Зајечара, која је на листи УРС, на листи ДСС је студенткиња из Ћуприје Ивана Траиловић (21), а студенткиња из Шапца Наила Мехмедовић (22) „брани боје“ листе Чедомира Јовановића. Њених година је и најмлађа радикалка, студенткиња из Врања Марија Петковић.
Боје радикалки и на овим изборима браниће глумица Лидија Вукићевић, док ће идеје Социјалдемократског савеза заступати још једна глумица Јелица Сретеновић. У СДС Небојше Лековића је и књижевница Јасмина Ана, док водитељка Маја Волк пропагира идеје Реформистичке странке из Ниша. И међу кандидаткињама за посланице на листи „Избор за бољи живот – Борис Тадић“ има глумица, а то је Весна Милекић.
Боје листе „Покренимо Србију – Томислав Николић“ браниће, осим Јоргованке Табаковић, Дубравке Филиповски и Миланке Карић, и бивша чланица групе „Моделс“ Невена Аџемовић. Она је ушла као представница Нове Србије, чији је члан њен супруг Срђан Аџемовић, иначе бизнисмен и близак пријатељ лидера НС Велимира Илића. Невена је на листи представљена као економиста.
