Због тога смо одлучили да током априла, сваког дана, објављујемо ПУПС-ову азбуку за спас ћирилице, којом упозоравамо на кључне проблеме са којим се српско писмо суочава.
Данас је ред на слово Н под којим говоримо о стању у којем се ћирилица налази у другом по величини граду у Србији.
НОВИ САД
У Новом Саду, административном седишту Војводине, свега 18,5 одсто јавних натписа исписано је ћирилицом.
Да би добили возачку дозволу на ћирилици грађани Новог Сада у полицијским станицама морају да пишу посебан захтев.
Споменик једном од најзнаменитијих председника Матице српске Васи Стајићу обележен је латиничним писмом. Оваквих примера, нажалост, има доста.
Разумемо потребу да се у једној вишенационалној средини као што је Нови Сад сви добро разумеју, али постављамо питање: Да ли то разумевање баш увек мора да иде на рачун и штету српског националног писма?
